From Tampa:
Commissioner Mark Henry opened. Johnny Impact will defend the Impact Wrestling title today vs. UWA World champ Brian Cage, but.....
1. Taya Valkyrie will be banned from ringside.
2. Johnny Bravo will not be the referee. The UWA will not grant him a referee's license anywhere.
3. If Bravo is disqualified, he will lose the title, with the rematch at Rebellion on April 26.
4. Cage's title is not on the line, despite Impact's demands.
Bravo is out, claiming Impact is late. However, Bravo is in wrestling gear. Uh-ooohhhhh.......
1. Braun Strowman squashed Bravo in 1:30 with the Stampede.
2. Impact tag titles: Lucha Bros. def. OvE (Irish Airborne) in 9:30 when Dave Crist was pinned after the Fear Factor (package piledriver).
Highlights of the Hart Foundation Cup women's tournament, won by Becky Lynch, are shown.
3. WWE women's title: Lynch submitted Alexa Bliss in 9:45 with the Disarm-Her.
4. Impact World title: Brian Cage def. Johnny Impact via countout in 13:55. Impact, frustrated with his inability to beat Cage, took a deliberate countout loss. Cage's title won't be on the line at Rebellion, either.
5. WWE Universal title: Seth Rollins def. Baron Corbin with the ripcord knee strike in 14:00 flat.
Stephanie McMahon came out. While Asuka defends the UWA women's title in the main event against Mayu Iwatami, who won a fatal four way three weeks ago to earn the shot, Naomi and Charlotte Flair, who were supposed to be in a WWE title match last week, only for Lynch to change everything at Wrestlemania, will meet next week to determine who will face the Asuka-Iwatami winner AND Lynch, who carries the added leverage of winning the Hart Foundation Cup.
Lacey Evans came out, demanding a title shot. Stephanie points out---correctly, of course---that Evans has not proven she deserves one, because in the UWA, title shots are earned on the basis of performance in the ring, not with the approval of old men's hormones, in reference to Evans' claim of using her influence on Raw, which to some fans meant seducing her way into a title shot.
Interestingly, Allure---Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, & Mandy Leon----came out. Angelina points out that Triple H isn't there, and, seemingly, neither is Stephanie's "faithful guardian", Jack Hunter, and now, with respect to Evans, it's 4-on-1.
Cue "Blood & Roses".
Celeste & Marie come racing out, and clear out Allure. Celeste spears Leon & Love out. Marie serves up Sweet Dreams to Velvet. Stephanie, defending herself, blocks the Woman's Right, then drops Lacey with the DDT. With the right arm, for a change. She then announces that next week on Champions Challenge, the UWA Women's tag titles will be reactivated, with Allure vs. Blood & Roses vs. the WWE champions, the IIconics vs. Evans and a partner to be named, in a fatal four-way elimination match!
6. Lars Sullivan def. Kurt Angle, in the latter's final match (for sure, this time) via Freak Accident in 11:30.
We find that Stephanie will suit up and team with Blood & Roses vs. Allure in the co-feature.
Also next week, Kurt Angle will say good-bye, once and for all, with an address to the UWA fans.
7. SoCal Uncensored (Scorpio Sky, Frankie Kazarian, & Christopher Daniels) def. P. J. Black, Jack Evans, & Eli Drake in 13:10 when Drake was pinned after Celebrity Rehab, this after Black & Evans walked out on Drake.
8. Stephanie McMahon and Blood & Roses def. Allure in 11:44. The two Hunters were there, after all, and escorted the ladies to the ring. Triple H acted as manager, while Jack went to ringside, and did color commentary with Mauro Ranallo and Renee Young. Stephanie changed outfits, going to a black stirrup bodysuit, wrestling barefoot. Finish saw her hit Sole Food (Eat Defeat) on Mandy Leon, who then was speared halfway to Miami by Celeste, and pinned.
The IIconics came out afterward, and cut a promo, claiming they would win the UWA tag titles as well.
9. Smackdown tag titles: The Hardys def. Primo & Epico Colon in 7:30. Primo was pinned after a Jeff Hardy swanton bomb.
10. UWA women's title: Asuka submitted Mayu Iwatami in 12:41. Post-match, Taya Valkyrie attacked Asuka. Iwatami made the save for her countrywoman.
Announced for next week:
Jack Evans & PJ Black vs. Eli Drake and a mystery partner.
